The Joy of Singing Class

Vocal training for adult beginner through advanced singers. If you long to sing, or you wish to improve your speaking or singing voice, this is the class for you. Students will engage in a system of correct singing that includes how to manage the breath and compression, articulation, interpretation and the selection of the proper repertory.

The class will include solo, duet and ensemble singing of multi genre selections. Singers are encouraged to take How to Read Music and Solfeggio. Materials include a three ring binder, yellow marker, red pencil and number indexes for repertory building.

The class is taught at South Orange-Maplewood Adult School, Suburban Community Music Center, and the Adult School of Montclair.
