ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Patrizia Cioffi teaches private and group voice lessons. All lessons are being taught virtually via Zoom for the time being, but as soon as it is safe lessons will be taught in person again.

 

Ms. Cioffi offers stress-free vocal training for beginner through advanced Singers of all ages wishing to sing popular music, Rhythm and Blues, Salsa, Musical Theater, Opera, Sacred Music, Oratorio, American Classics, folk and ethnic songs. She works with actors and professional speakers wishing to train and maintain a healthy speaking voice. Ms. Cioffi also teaches at the Montclair Adult School.

 

Lessons are for singers wishing to train, strengthen and improve their singing voice and for non-singers to maintain a healthy placement in their speaking voice and to avoid becoming hoarse.

An established teacher of voice, she has taught at Mount Holyoke College, in New York City at the Lucy Moses School, in Florence, Italy, and as Founder Executive Director, at the New School for the Arts/New Jersey Opera Institute since 1986.


Ms. Cioffi, a vocal artist/teacher, specializes in expanding use of the breath and vocal range, interpretation of standard, Italian, German, English and Latin Repertory among various music styles and non-classical genres. Her technique is deeply rooted in the Italian school of bel canto singing.
